stzGovernance

42 own methods · 1 forms written with extensions, listed under their method

the source: base/governance/stzGovernance.ring(opens in a new tab) · All classes · The area reference: Metaprogramming & code rules

Under each method, its extensions (Q CS XT Z ZZ IB W U): bold and ticked, it exists; struck, it does not. The extensions and what they mean

Examples: 0 come from the library's tests; 10 were composed from each method's signature and run for this page, on a fresh object, for example o1 = new stzGovernance("constellation-regime"). 32 methods have none yet. Examples run on 2026-10-03 12:54 inside the library at commit 0e72e2e2c.

AuthorityOf
(no comment in the source: the name reads as a sentence) authority ofno extension
MayProceed
THE COMPOSITION: CAN + SHOULD + RISK, decided BEFORE the act. An actor proceeds only when it HAS the permission AND its authority level covers the action's risk tier. Every verdict narrates (LAW 3); an undeclared action is REFUSED, not assumed.
composed example
o1 = new stzGovernance("constellation-regime")
? o1.MayProceed("an", "an")

RecordDecision
WHEN it was decided is part of that answer, and it used to be missing: a lineage without time cannot say whether a decision came before or after the change it is supposed to explain, which is the first question anyone asks of it. The clock is the WALL clock on purpose -- this is an absolute "when in the world", not a duration, and epoch MILLIS stay exact in f64 (nanos would not).no extension
RecordDecisionAt
the deterministic twin, so a guard can pin an ordering without racing the clockno extension
SetLineageCapacity
How many decisions this governance keeps. Lowering it below the current count drops the oldest immediately -- and counts them.QCSXTZZZIBWU
LineageCapacity
(no comment in the source: the name reads as a sentence) lineage capacity
composed example
o1 = new stzGovernance("constellation-regime")
? o1.LineageCapacity()
#--> 512
composed from the signature, run for this page
no extension
LineageDropped
The count the bound cost. Zero means the lineage below is COMPLETE; anything else means the record starts later than the process did, and an auditor deserves to know which of the two they are reading.
composed example
o1 = new stzGovernance("constellation-regime")
? o1.LineageDropped()
#--> 0
composed from the signature, run for this page
no extension
LineageIsComplete
(no comment in the source: the name reads as a sentence) lineage is complete
composed example
o1 = new stzGovernance("constellation-regime")
? o1.LineageIsComplete()
#--> 1
composed from the signature, run for this page

LineageOf
The decision under this id. When an id was recorded more than once the LATEST wins -- a re-decision supersedes, and the earlier ones stay reachable through LineageHistoryOf().no extension
LineageHistoryOf
(no comment in the source: the name reads as a sentence) lineage history ofno extension
DecisionsOf
THE PIVOTS. Answering only by id made the lineage useless for every question an investigation actually opens with -- "what did this actor decide", "who decided anything about this action", "what was decided in the hour before the incident". An audit trail you can only query by a key you already know is a lookup table.no extension
DecisionsAbout
(no comment in the source: the name reads as a sentence) decisions aboutno extension
DecisionsSince
Same as DecisionsBetween: A zero upper bound means "no upper bound" -- an epoch stamp is never zero, so the sentinel cannot collide with a real one.no extension
DecisionsBetween
A zero upper bound means "no upper bound" -- an epoch stamp is never zero, so the sentinel cannot collide with a real one.no extension
Lineage
the full decision lineage (every recorded decision), raw rows. THE SHARED ROWS -- read through the table, so any face sees every face's decisions.no extension
Decisions
...and the same as readable recordsno extension
NumberOfDecisions
(no comment in the source: the name reads as a sentence) number of decisions
composed example
o1 = new stzGovernance("constellation-regime")
? o1.NumberOfDecisions()
#--> 0
composed from the signature, run for this page
no extension
Release
Release this governance's slot -- the regime AND the lineage. Haro has no destructor, so this is the OWNER's explicit act, and only the owner's: a copy calling it would free state every other face is still reading. Without it the table keeps one slot per governance ever constructed, which is fine for a regime that lives as long as the process and a leak for one built per request.also written: ReleaseLineageno extension
DeclarePosture
EXECUTION TRUST POSTURES (5.8)no extension
PostureOf
(no comment in the source: the name reads as a sentence) posture ofno extension
MayExecute
execution without a declared posture never proceedsno extension
DeclareReversibility
6. REVERSIBILITY CLASS (the sixth contract, ruling 3.2) ---------------- How UNDOABLE a subject's work is -- orthogonal to how RISKY it is (contract 1): a tier-1 action that cannot be undone deserves more ceremony than a tier-3 action that can. The three words are .pia's, adopted whole: they are the contract's vocabulary now, not one format's private enum. The subject is whatever the caller governs -- an action, or an actor whose whole tick is being classified.no extension
ReversibilityOf
(no comment in the source: the name reads as a sentence) reversibility ofno extension
MayExecuteFor
posture x reversibility for a DECLARED executor: may code holding pcExecutor's declared posture perform work of this class? The one sentence lives in StzPostureReversibilityRefusal so the .pia court refuses in the same words.no extension
MayRegister
THE REGISTRATION GATE (ruling 3.2a) ------------------------------------ May this actor EXIST in a loop at all -- asked before any tick, when the answer is still free. MayProceed gates ACTS; this gates REGISTRATION, and those are different failures. One rule, two doors, same words: the sentences are agentloop.zig's own refusals (AGENTLOOP-R4 / AGENTLOOP-R5), quoted with only the engine's slot number absent, so a caller who meets the refusal in either door reads the same law.
composed example
o1 = new stzGovernance("constellation-regime")
? o1.MayRegister("an", "an", "an")

LoadFrom
persistence (*.zgov) ------------------------------------------------------ LOAD a .zgov back INTO this governance -- the mirror of Save(), and the object's OWN act (LoadFrom: 'Load' is a Haro keyword).no extension
