Under each method, its extensions (Q CS XT Z ZZ IB W U): bold and ticked, it exists; struck, it does not. The extensions and what they mean
Examples: 0 come from the library's tests; 7 were composed from each method's signature and run for this page, on a fresh object, for example o1 = new stzNotation("ring56"). 36 methods have none yet. Examples run on 2026-10-03 12:54 inside the library at commit 0e72e2e2c.

VOCABULARYQCSXTZZZIBWUXTT
ScaleOf
The fraction of a cell this kind is drawn at, 1 when it is a cell.no extension
composed example
o1 = new stzNotation("ring56")
? o1.ScaleOf("an")
#--> 1composed from the signature, run for this pageFillOf
The fill this profile declares for a kind, or "" -- which leaves the renderer's own default in force. A node that names its own colour always outranks the profile: the author is closer.no extension
SetRegionFill
The colour a REGION is painted -- the tinted container step of the role its members carry. Declared with SetRegionFill, and left "" by a profile that draws no regions.no extension

GlyphOf
The kind's glyph: the geometric shape the renderer draws. The DEFAULT profile answers through the SAME shared table both faces already read (StzNodeShapeForType), so expressing the diagram as a profile moves no pixel -- DN0's whole claim. A declared kind outranks the table; an unknown kind in an OPEN profile falls back to it; in a CLOSED one it answers "", and the renderer's existing fallback (a box) still draws while Check() reports the finding.no extension
Forbid
RULESQCSXTZZZIBWU
Rules
(no comment in the source: the name reads as a sentence) rulesno extension
ForbidFor
A rule a KIND carries -- DN2. :Inbound forbidden for an initial pseudostate means nothing may transition INTO it; :Outbound for a final state means nothing leaves. The kind is the subject because that is how the domain speaks: "a final state has no exits" is a statement about final states, not about any edge.QCSXTZZZIBWU
MayLink
Takes the DIAGRAM because two of the primitives are about the graph the link would join, not about the link alone (DN1, org charts): a second parent is only a second parent given the edges that exist, and a cycle is only a cycle given the paths that do.no extension
Check
The model swept against the profile, answered in the house rule shape -- one row per finding, ready for stzRuleReport.Ingest().no extension
SetRankDir
GRAMMARno extension
RankDir
(no comment in the source: the name reads as a sentence) rank dirno extension
SetSplines
(no comment in the source: the name reads as a sentence) set splinesno extension
Splines
(no comment in the source: the name reads as a sentence) splinesno extension
SetEdgesDirected
Declared by the profile, so it is one line in a domain rather than a special case in the drawer, and it is not electric-only: a UML association and a communication link are undirected for the same reason.no extension
EdgesDirected
(no comment in the source: the name reads as a sentence) edges directedno extension
composed example
o1 = new stzNotation("ring56")
? o1.EdgesDirected()
#--> 1composed from the signature, run for this pageSetSpine
(no comment in the source: the name reads as a sentence) set spineno extension

SetRankPolicy

RankPolicy

SetOneInk
A SCHEMATIC HAS NO SUCH DIVISION. The outline of a resistor and the wire joined to it are one conductor drawing, and two inks there state a difference that does not exist -- the wires read as thinner and lighter than the parts, which is what the Principal saw. A profile whose edges ARE part of the same object as its nodes says so here, and the diagram then draws both in the node ink.no extension
OneInk
(no comment in the source: the name reads as a sentence) one inkno extension
composed example
o1 = new stzNotation("ring56")
? o1.OneInk()
#--> 0composed from the signature, run for this pageSetNameInside
Declared per kind, because it is a claim about how the DOMAIN draws that glyph, not about the glyph everywhere.no extension
AddCompartmentKey
Same fault as the four layout modes and the one shape named "diamond", and this is the third time in a week: a rule whose membership is enumerated stops being applied the moment something new arrives. A notation says what its own compartments are; the default is UML's pair, so nothing that existed before this changes.no extension
CompartmentKeys
(no comment in the source: the name reads as a sentence) compartment keysno extension
WritesNameInside
(no comment in the source: the name reads as a sentence) writes name insideno extension
SetNameOutside
THE OPPOSITE DECLARATION: a kind whose inside is spoken for. The renderer writes a name inside any glyph big enough to hold it, which is right until the glyph holds something else -- a Petri place holds its tokens, and "Key" written over one dot read as "K.y". Declared per kind, so a notation says it once.no extension
SetPeerChildren
A PARENT'S CHILDREN ARE PEERS. The layout gives a parent's column to the child that carries the longest continuation -- right for a flow, where the graph itself says "this way onward". A fault tree's gate has inputs, not a continuation: none of them is the line onward, so the gate stands at their middle whatever hangs beneath each. Declared by the notation, read by the layout.no extension
PeerChildren
(no comment in the source: the name reads as a sentence) peer childrenno extension
composed example
o1 = new stzNotation("ring56")
? o1.PeerChildren()

(no comment in the source: the name reads as a sentence) set layout modeno extension
LayoutMode
(no comment in the source: the name reads as a sentence) layout modeno extension
SourceKinds
The kinds this profile declares as SOURCES (nothing may enter) and SINKS (nothing may leave) -- derived from the kind rules rather than declared twice, so the placement that reads them can never disagree with the refusals that enforce them.no extension
SinkKinds
(no comment in the source: the name reads as a sentence) sink kindsno extension
