35 own methods · 13 forms written with extensions, listed under their method

the source: base/string/stzStringEncoder.ring(opens in a new tab) · All classes · The area reference: String

Under each method, its extensions (Q CS XT Z ZZ IB W U): bold and ticked, it exists; struck, it does not. The extensions and what they mean

Examples: 0 come from the library's tests; 11 were composed from each method's signature and run for this page, on a fresh object, for example o1 = new stzStringEncoder("hello%20world"). 24 methods have none yet. Examples run on 2026-10-03 12:54 inside the library at commit 0e72e2e2c.

FromCharCodes
char codes (string)QCSXTZZZIBWU
HtmlEncoded
The string with the HTML-special chars encoded as entities. Engine-backed. This built a per-character LIST of the whole string and concatenated onto a growing result -- the wrap-to-scan shape, quadratic in the string length. The engine does the same five substitutions (& < > " and ' -> ') in one pass, and the bridge now sizes its buffer to fit rather than silently returning "" past 64 KB.no extension
HtmlEncode
html encodingQCSXTZZZIBWU
HtmlDecoded
The engine makes ONE left-to-right pass, consuming each entity whole and advancing past it, so a decoded '&' can never re-trigger a match. It also covers ' and numeric entities (&#NN; / &#xHH;), which the five-replace version silently left intact -- a widening, not a behaviour change for anything the old code handled.no extension
HtmlDecode
html encodingQCSXTZZZIBWU
EscapedForRegex
The string with the regex special chars escaped. One engine pass. This used to build a per-character LIST of the whole string (@oString.Chars()) and scan the metacharacter set for each one, which allocates a Haro object per character to answer a question about 14 ASCII bytes. Same set, same result.no extension
