The founding sentence

The first presentation of Softanza, in 2022, states its reason in one page:

Citizenship in the digital age lacks a critical enabler: programming as a computational thinking asset accessible to all… Languages are built around machine-oriented metaphors, not human-centred ones… Softanza is an effort towards making programming simple and fun again.

Its slogan was Programming by heart! That sentence, and the slogan, are the roots of everything this site shows today.

What the deck held

1. Seven root causes of programming complexity. They were never listed on a slide of their own: they exist as the seven rationales of the goals.
2. Seven design goals and thirty-three features, each demonstrated by code. They are redrawn with their state today on the design goals page.
3. Five audiences, each with a value proposition written to one person, a typical recipe of three to five steps, and a positioning sentence. They became the journeys.
4. Nine domains, a declared focus. Today the Atlas measures one.
5. A claim proved by code: a function name is a sentence. It is told on the craft page.

A later cover, from 2025, names the same project Softanza Pi: Intelligence Artificielle Souveraine et Facile d'Usage, sovereign and easy-to-use artificial intelligence.

What is dated, and what is not

in construction The dates do not agree, and this page prints each with its source. The library's public history begins on 12 March 2022 with its first commit. The deck was exported on 20 September 2022 and carries a copyright of 2020 to 2025. The oldest dated document the record keeps is a mail of 17 November 2021. The Vision page says the project began in 2018, which is the author's account of the years before the repository. Where two dates differ, neither is corrected to fit the other.
