stzListOfNumbers

233 own methods · 335 forms written with extensions, listed under their method · Also inherits from stzList (861)

also named: stzNumbers

the source: base/number/stzListOfNumbers.ring(opens in a new tab) · All classes · The area reference: Numeric & optimization

Under each method, its extensions (Q CS XT Z ZZ IB W U): bold and ticked, it exists; struck, it does not. The extensions and what they mean

Examples: 18 come from the library's tests; 125 were composed from each method's signature and run for this page, on a fresh object, for example o1 = new stzListOfNumbers([ 4, 8, 15, 16, 23, 42 ]). 90 methods have none yet. Examples run on 2026-10-03 20:34 inside the library at commit 0e72e2e2c.

Method
Explanation, as the source carries it
init
Build the list from the given Haro list of numbers.no extension
Returned straight from the field. It used to be assigned to a local first, which bought nothing -- Haro copies a list on return either way, so callers were always safe -- and cost a SECOND full copy of the list on every call. Over a million numbers that was 0.32s per call, more than the whole engine crossing it was sitting in front of. 1 examples runalso written: NumbersQCSXTZZZIBWUQRT
Value

Copy

ListOfNumbers
Same as Content: the numbers as a raw Haro list.no extension
W
Short aliases used by the narrative tests: PrimesUnderQ(5000).WXT(' isWeiferich(@number) ') Same eval-and-collect contract as NumbersW.no extension
Where
Same as NumbersW: The numbers satisfying the given W condition.no extension
ToStzList
The numbers as a stzList object.no extension
ToStzNumBuffer
Measured over a million numbers, eight reductions: 0.28s the ordinary way (eight marshals), 0.04s across this door (one). The boundary is NAMED at the call site rather than guessed at underneath -- the tier you are in should be something you can see. @aContent directly, NOT This.Content(): that method assigns the field to a local before returning it, so asking it costs two full copies of the list before the buffer has marshalled anything. Over a million numbers those copies cost more than the crossing they were meant to save, and the door measured SLOWER than the ordinary path until they were removed.also written: ToNumBufferno extension
