IsQuietEqualTo()
IsQuietEqualTo(pcOther): "quiet" equality -- accept up to ~30% char-level mismatches. Useful for fuzzy comparisons. Uses Levenshtein-style distance with simple thresholding.
Basic examples (2)
o1 = new stzString("énoncé")
# strictly different from enonce
? o1.IsEqualTo("enonce")
# but quietly equal
? o1.IsQuietEqualTo("enonce")
# ... and to its uppercase
? o1.IsQuietEqualTo("ÉNONCÉ")0 1 1

o1 = new stzString("SOFTANZA IS AWSOME!")
# case aside: equal
? o1.IsQuietEqualTo("softanza is awsome!")
# one extra char: still quiet
? o1.IsQuietEqualTo("Softansa is aowsome!")
# two extra chars: too loud
? o1.IsQuietEqualTo("Softansa iis aowsome!")1 1 0

Scope (1)
o1 = new stzString("mahmoud fayed")
# too far apart at the default ratio
? o1.IsQuietEqualTo("Mahmood al-feiyed")
# the default ratio
? QuietEqualityRatio()
SetQuietEqualityRatio(0.35)
# close enough at 0.35
? o1.IsQuietEqualTo("Mahmood al-feiyed")
SetQuietEqualityRatio(0.09)0 0.09 1

The extensions of this method
Each extension, and whether it exists for this method; an extension that exists combines with the others (FindSTCS).
Every example is a test file of the library, run inside the library for this page; only those whose output kept every promise their file wrote are shown.
